Upload Your Clients

Add clients one at a time, or import a whole list at once using a CSV file. Jurisdictions are auto-detected.

Bulk Upload Clients

Upload a CSV to import multiple clients at once — jurisdictions will be auto-detected from addresses

CSV Template

Download this template, fill in your clients' details, then upload it below.

.csv files only

How it works:

• first_name or surname is required per row

• Province & jurisdiction are auto-detected from the client's address

• Your DC details are automatically attached to every record

• All imported clients are saved as Drafts — submit them to BA when ready

The time-saver: Download the CSV template, fill in your clients' details (name, ID, address, contact), and upload. The system automatically matches each client's address to the correct South African province and magistrate's court jurisdiction — no manual research needed.

03

Complete the Document Checklist

Open any client to see a checklist of the 9 required documents. Upload them as you receive them.

Two options:

  • • Upload each of the 9 individual documents as you receive them (Form 16, 17.1, 17.2, Proposals, Acceptances, ID, Income, Address, Credit Report).
  • • Or upload one Combined Application Scan — a single PDF containing everything — if you already have the full file compiled.

The progress bar fills as you upload. Once complete (or if you've uploaded a combined scan), the gold "Push to Benjamin Attorneys" button activates.

04

Push to Benjamin Attorneys

Once your documents are complete, click one button to submit the file for legal drafting. We take it from here.

One Click — We Handle the Rest

When you click "Push to Benjamin Attorneys", your client's file is instantly transmitted to our legal team. We review the documents, draft the court application, and allocate it to a panel attorney in the correct jurisdiction.

06

How Fees Work

Your fees are calculated based on the court jurisdiction and paid in milestones — only as the matter progresses.

Fees Are Set Per Court

Every magistrate's court in South Africa has its own fee schedule. The total fee payable by you (the Debt Counsellor) is determined by the court jurisdiction where your client's matter is filed — not by a flat rate.

When you upload a client, the system auto-detects the correct court from the address. The fee for that specific court is then applied to the matter automatically. You'll always know the exact amount before pushing to Benjamin Attorneys.

Central Courts

From R2 000

e.g. Johannesburg, Pretoria

Outlying Courts

From R2 500

e.g. regional & rural courts

Total fees vary by court — the amounts shown are starting points. The exact fee is confirmed per matter based on the assigned jurisdiction.

When You Pay — Milestone Schedule

The total court fee is split into three milestone payments. You only pay when each milestone is reached — no upfront costs.

1
Submission Fee
17.5%

When the matter is accepted and submitted to the panel attorney for drafting.

2
Case Number
50%

When a case number is obtained from the court — the main milestone.

3
Court Order
32.5%

Upon receipt of the final court order — the matter is complete.

Withdrawal Fee

If a matter is withdrawn, a separate 20% withdrawal fee applies (instead of the milestone schedule above). This is only charged if the matter is cancelled after submission.

In short: The fee amount depends on the court, and you pay in three stages — 17.5% at submission, 50% at case number, and 32.5% at court order. You'll receive an invoice at each milestone and can track all payments under the "Invoices" tab in your portal.
